Not sure how I haven't heard of Rademacher before now, seeing as how two blogs which I read religiously (as in every day) have already featured them. Hmm, I must've been out sick those two days. But did those other blogs mention that Malcom from Rademacher had PE class with Kevin Federline? Yeah, I don't think so. That's why you read this blog, for the exclusive info.
Moving on, Rademacher is "heavily influenced by local heroes Earlimart and Grandaddy", which is evident on some tracks, while others are reminiscent of one of my favorite Texas bands, Pilotdrift. Clever lyrics coupled with what Sixeyes called "an acoustic carnival" (perfect description) that is just as catchy as it is dark and sinister (to borrow a term from Dodge). These two tracks, from Rademacher's Ice Age EP, have been in heavy rotation on my iPod for the last few days. Highly recommended:
