From what I hear, historic snowfall and altogether special circumstances afforded SOUND team a cozy stay in NYC this past weekend.
Narrowly beating the great storm of '06 in a race against traffic and time, SOUND team arrived in New York late Friday night with a heap of gear in tow and stories aplenty of a triumphant stay in Chicago the night before.
One thing lead to another that night, and before the flakes veiled the great city, SOUND team was camping out in every nook and cranny of an old SoHo brownstone, with the mounting snow outside blessedly affording them the right to park illegally on quaint Prince Street.
A tremendous run at the famed Mercury Lounge, attended by just about anyone (including SI.com's Luke Winn) was followed both Sunday and Monday night with semi-secret impromptu gigs in smaller, louder, slightly less-crowded haunts.
Now, with the city's snow-capped skyline but a distant blip in their rearview, SOUND team is traversing I-95 South to begin the end of their highly successful coast-to-coast mini tour.
SOUND team's remaining tour dates are as follows, and I highly
recommend you attend:
Feb. 15 Chapel Hill Local 506
Feb. 16 Nashville The Basement
