sunset and friends

poster by David.
Please join us Saturday evening at the Cavern for an intimate show with Sound Team's Bill Baird, aka {{{{sunset}}}}, and friends. He'll be joined by assorted members of his esteemed crew from Austin, including (but not limited to): the Black, Mark David Ashworth, Tenlons Fort, and more. We've talked about Bill, the Black, and Mark David before, but this Tenlons Fort song is exceptionally pretty and sad; I think you guys'll really like it. Here are a few mp3s, all of the "highly recommended" variety:

Our boy over at Lullabyes captured some incredible recordings at SXSW this year. First up: the Rosebuds at Hot Freaks, Bonde Do Role, and the Pipettes at Beauty Bar. Here's a sample:

We know for a fact that Lullabyes has a bunch more where these came from, so keep checking back.

congratulations on the weirdest poster i have ever seen.
looks like a great show. but, let me ask, what is it about being a teenage wolf that automaticallymakes you a tremendous basketball player? also, how did his team get to reschedule every game that season around a full moon so they could chalk more in the victory column?
thanks schlarb...i think. dude email me at chrismc99@gmail.com
scoots, all valid questions for which i have no answer. i'll have to bust out my VHS copy of the movie and re-evaluate.
the fact that being a teen wolf has any effect whatsoever on basketball or wrestling skills is absurd, even if teen wolf is a true story.
I love Bill Baird - so precious I just wanna take him home and stash him under my pillow...
what a completely unflattering soundboard recording. i'm glad to say it's already off my hard drive.
Oh my god, can the Pipettes hype please stop. That live recording is just horrible. If that doesn't prove how talentless and insignificant they are, I don't know what will.
I <3 The Pipettes on record, but I'd rather chew my own ears off than listen to them perform live.
