listen to M.I.A.'s Kala
Am I the only one that's still excited about M.I.A.'s Kala? Yeah that cover "art" is atrocious to the point of being almost painful to look at, but today the Fader pointed us in the direction of some shady German site where you can listen to snippets of each song from the LP, and it sounds pretty promising (well, as promising as 30-second snippets can be). Especially non-M.I.A.-sounding tracks like "Jimmy," which could be a lost '80s synth-pop jam, and the dark/bizarre "Mango Pickle Down River," which is actually a cover/collaboration with Aboriginal kids' hip-hop group Wilcannia Mob, and it's as out there as the title implies. Here's the mp3 of the original (EDIT: yeah, pretty sure that's a didgeridoo they're rocking on that joint):

UPDATE: Listen to the same previews that were removed from that busted German site here (thanks to john for the tip). I'm telling you, "Jimmy" is going to be a hit.
