ha that's awesome assuming nobody got hurt.
awesome. great pics. can't say that i'm surprised the stage collapsed. i questioned the structural integrity of the loft during the black lips show. good thing it was only the stage and not the floorboards. sad i missed the show but i had to be up early today. no shirtless pics of greg gillis? i'm surprised.
oh, is there any way you can work on getting beirut to do a show in dallas? i've been obsessed with flying club cup for a while and must see them live.
He's darn skinny to be trying to sweat off all that weight. That hoodie can't be healthy.
Enjoyed the pictures by the way.
checked out girl talk at FFF Fest this weekend for about 10 minutes to see what all the hype is about. just some dude spinning records with a bunch of sweaty hipsters on a stage being way more excited than what seemed necessary. needless to say, i still don't get it.

Derek I can see why you don't get it.....there are no records spinning in a Girl Talk performance. What he does would be virtually impossible on tables.
This would explain his merch 'I am not a DJ'
fair enough, i guess he's using a laptop and some mixing equipment. go ahead and label me a hater, but still, what's the big deal?
I guess it basically just comes down to if you like mash ups or not. His are some of the most complex, and his shows are very energetic.
Rumor has it Girl Talk inked a 6-figure sponsorship and merchandising deal with American Apparel. The benefits for AA are obvious.
Hey:
Babey
That "inked" deal.
I wanna hear more about this.
Six figure?
If that's true, I'm dying to know how the whole marketing plan for promoting him is going down.
Hmm.....
You have more details?
I personally think it comes down to if you like fun or not. People that hate fun (Derek) don't get it, and people that enjoy fun and like having it on occasion (most other people) like Girl Talk. It's not rocket surgery. It's a guy playing songs people can dance to.
i stole greggs shirt at the show. it was Starter brand
