As I mentioned last month, the lovely Alela Diane has signed to Rough Trade, and will release her new LP To Be Still in February '09. The first song to surface from the follow-up to Alela's vastly underrated (but apparently huge in France) Pirate's Gospel is the starkly haunting "White as Diamonds." The Daytrotter version was one of my favorite songs of '07, and while the studio version features more fully realized instrumentation, it's no less stunning:

Was surprised to hear the drums come in on White As Diamonds also, but I'll get used to it. It's a nice version and an expected progression in her sound. Looking forward to hearing the rest of the album.

Actually, RSVP'ing along won't get you in. All names will be checked against the list of invitees at the door. If you weren't invited, you aren't getting in.

As if anything even slightly Panda Bear related has come out of speakers at Karu&Y before. I <3 artists who, when they actually make it down here, don't look to see if a booking is available at a club that might support their sound. What a sellout.
Yeah, it's invite only and not RSVP-able. I'm also a Miami GvB reader for years, if for whatever reason somebody can get a Panda Bear invite, please hook a brother up.

Is anyone else confused by the fact that ANP Quarterly, an art magazine with global conscious, is teaming up with Nike Sportswear to promote an event? Just saying.
I'm 15 minutes north of Miami. I would love to go and just found out about this - but figures that it's invite only. Hardly any good indie bands come to south FL, this is kind of depressing. very cool that you got to check out some bands you usually woudn’t. Win win situation.
These 2 spells will make you pretty much rohan crone invincible with nearly no need for potting. For your PVP you are gonna need to rely on your ability to maximize your Rapid Lock spell and be able to use your rohan gold to Health to mana spell efficiently. They problem for a typical Dekan Sage build is to not supply the rohan online crone needed to sustain these spells. Mana guard is where this build is going to shine and make you pretty much rohan money invincible for 60 seconds which is more than enough time to dispatch most classes in PVP. Rohan is cool so far, much easier than most free games without any rohan online gold that starts spazzes on you.
