Grizzly Bear recorded a new full-band version of "Deep Blue Sea," for the upcoming Dark Was the Night charity compilation, which features every indie band ever. I'll always be partial to the sparse, haunting version Dan Rossen premiered on our blog radio show back in early '07, but the subtle instrumentation the band adds here is a nice touch. Listen on myspace for the rest of the day, then it's gone until the comp comes out on February 16.

the original is my favorite grizzly bear related recording.
Grizzly Bear is super overrated man.
