velvet

London's The Big Pink is giving away this new remix, in which Gang Gang Dance re-works the group's already massive/cinematic new single "Velvet," turning the song into something like Animal Collective meets a John Hughes flick meets Cocteau Twins. Until about halfway through, anyway; then it's straight GGD the rest of the way.

Brazil Bahia

The world is in a wall.
Many bricks.
All controlled accurately.
Little space.
How can we be part of the siege?
In the sheep there are wolves out of the siege.
But I'm with you.
If you see me is that you do the same light that illuminates me
Thank you.

chris i am not positive, but I don't know of you ever covering "Jeff the Brotherhood". They are based out of Nashville, both formally in BYOP. Their new record is killer.

They have a split 7" out with screaming females that is awesome.

I don't know them, just know they're fucking rad and they put on an amazing live show here in knoxville. Would love to see them getting some gvb love if you see it fit.

Hello from Nashville. JEFF The Brotherhood rules here. Their 3rd album "Castle Storm" is amazing and they are even better live. OK!

i've never heard the original of this big pink song, and i kind of don't want to, for fear that it would ruin the beauty of this!

@CP: Although this version is unique and interesting, especially the second half, I HIGHLY recommend listening to the original. It builds beautifully, adding layers of distorted guitars and synths... this mix doesn't capture the waves and crescendos of the original.
