you wouldn't understand

Two promising new tracks arrived in my inbox last night from mysterious newcomers Neon Indian, an anonymous new collaborative project from "a guy and a girl who make music via correspondence. One in Brooklyn, one in Austin." I've got my guesses as to who these guys are, but for now, just enjoy these spacey, wistfully nostalgic disco-psych jams:
mp3:
neon indian :: 6669 (i don't know if you know)
neon indian :: should have taken acid with you

elsewhere:

Paul Epworth (aka Phones) remixes one of my top 5 favorite songs of '08, Amadou & Mariam's Damon Albarn-produced "Sabali":

amadou and mariam :: sabali (paul epworth remix)

Labels: mp3, neon indian

That second Neon Indian track isn't working, which is a shame, as it could be the best song title i've heard in a long, long time.
oops, fixed
One of the more satisfying set of tracks posted on here in a minute. Good stuff, whoever it is.
i know who it is
Theophilus London's sampling of Sabali is still my favorite version of the song
neon indian is amazing
...and I'm actually digging this neon indian stuff.
This is a stretch but Neon Indian = Sound Team?
the sabali remix ain't linking?
I have personal confirmation of who this is...but I ain't snitchin.
Tracks is bitchin.
sound team isn't dope enough dude. try again
I KNOW!
Neon Indian boned my sister.
ok 1/2 of Neon Indian is totally Alan Palomo of VEGA. They even have the same manager...
Definitely blend into the whole dreamy psych-pop craze. With some better production, I def could see these guys being the new MGMT.
i am really liking all Neon Indian's stuff, wish it all was longer.
cool gorilla jerk, just downloaded both songs and they came out as danity kane on my cd, nice joke
If you think Neon Indian is good you should check out Daestro, they are a electro-ish band/production from Detroit Michigan, USA. They're pumping out some serious music...
