video: grizzly bear | "two weeks"

Grizzly Bear day here on the blog/entire internet: Here's the highly anticipated, "sparkleexplodingheadsofweirdness" video for the band's transcendent "Two Weeks," directed by the great Patrick Daughters. Kind of unsettling until their heads start exploding:

(also, veckatimest is now streaming in its entirety at the group's myspace page)

Uhm, honestly, kind of stupid. Especially given all the hype. I was expecting something a bit more identifiable from Patrick Daughters.

Music Video of the year still belongs to Titus Andronicus. They prove that all you need is good cinematography to make a kickass music video.

A little too boring for me. The look was cool, like an aphex twin music video meets and old navy commericial. But nothing really memorable. good song though.

given the hype, I couldn't be any less impressed/satisfied. And that goes for GvB too... a lot of uninspired posts the past week or so

Chris,

Don't worry about whether or not people are liking your posts? You said earlier that you only post what you like, whether people dig it or not is immaterial to you, right?

Only video that comes close to (or maybe surpasses) Fever Ray so far this year.

Amazing how people can be fooled by simplicity.
