best coast

Thanks to Porch of the Mystics for the heads up on this new "lazy haze" beach blanket lo-fi pop from Bethany Cosentino (formerly?) of Pocahaunted. Bethany's calling the group Best Coast, and she says we can expect "songs about summer and the sun and the ocean and being a lazy creep," with "drums, beach boys bass lines, and other amazing things" added by her friend Bobb Bruno. Look for a tape on Blackest Rainbow and a 7" on San Diego's awesome Art Fag Recordings -- which may or may not include this song -- in the near future:
mp3:
best coast :: sun was high (so was I)

Labels: best coast, bethany cosentino, mp3, pocahaunted

this song is fantastic. I absolutely love this blog.
Keep up the good work!
I tagged the Met
Sigh... no one knows how to record vocals properly anymore.
This is better than Pocahaunted
yeah, formerly. pocahaunted is now every member of vibes minus diva (blackblack). that's right, sun araw is in there too.
vibes, pizza!, pocahaunted, and magic lantern played a party we threw at the museum of neon art a few weeks ago and the full band's sound is pretty epic. go pick up passage.
