the show was a lot of fun last night. those are some great pictures.
show was amazing. a little muddy under the balcony, but that's the fault of HoB. still, though, um, wow.
Just caught the show in LA. WOW! Welcome to stadium avant garde.
can't wait for the oxford show tomorrow!
I see them in Florida in a few days. I am stoked!
ps. you guys are such fanboys.
do we need 80 mundane pics of these guys on this post. the pics are a boring as the music. the dirty wolf sweatshirt is so indie it hurts.
great pictures! thanks, i saw the Toronto show and that was pretty great, too.
aw. i wish i was there. damnit.
great blog! xxx.

^ annnon fuck jo selve. Sorry he's not trying hard enough for u, u better leave him some fashion tips on his myspace. Maybe he'll get his act together.
Panda Bear is the most handsome
the other 2 are gross
that show was quite good.
great pics.
it would have been amazing if black dice wasn't so terrible.
Love my Baltimore boys.
they're all handsome to me
that was such an amazing show.
lol, noah must've been miserable wearing a sweatshirt in dallas in june.
I don't know, I thought Black Dice's set was pretty sweet.
Then again, I was on drugs.
fun pics, can't wait to see them at bonnaroo
can anyone post the setlist
hey, don't get all pissy just because someone doesn't like 22 photographs of dudes standing in photo booths. those shots say very little about the show, or the goings on before, during, or after a show (things that, quite possibly, people of gvsb, could show us). what's so great about the pictures? the live shots are crap, and the rest are just pictures of dudes... it doesn't look like anyone took a whole helluva lot of time thinking about what they were showing the viewers. i guess what i'm saying (and yeah... i know... FUCK ME) is that y'all aren't the most discerning bunch around (the readers). i'd love to hear your responses to photographs that aren't just filler. don't you wanna see what the show looked like? don't you wanna see how they prep for a show? this is just pointless photos.
anon,
"this is just pointless" rant with terrible grammar and notably ineffective reasoning.
Animal Collective officially became irrelevant -- they jumped on the 3-Wolf-Moon-shirt meme...after the fact!
They used to be trendSETTERS, not followers.
some high level discussion here. good job.
wolf sweater in June in Texas.
huff.
maybe the problem is, you were an english major (or something) and i was an art major. i see the problems w/ the photographs, and they bother me. the lighting is bad, the poloroids are a good idea (but one that's overused) and i don't even need to get into how annoying that wood grain background is when you're trying to read thin black letters.
...but i do find it strange how many people just think everything on and about this site is incredible, including photographs that simply meander. it's like a member of the paparazi just started shooting photos, and then when he was done shooting he put every last one in his blog. there is such a thing as moderation. it's also strange that a blog that uses such brief descriptions of music would put like 10 or more photographs of the same thing (as in the case of eryka badu.... 10 photos of her, none of anyone else on stage)..... every time you post photos it takes up the space of a 1/2 dozen actual posts
i've posted the same way for the last 4+ years. can't help it if polaroids are now "overrused." if you don't like it, all i can say is don't read it.
also if you're seeing the type on the woodgrain, something is wrong with your browser.
Anonymous sounds like a complete idiot. Hard to tell if he/she is even making any cogent arguments because of all the drivel in between. Go away.
I hate to say it, but the comment about the wolf-shirt is kind of spot on. While much better than most music release lately, MPP was dissapointing after a couple of months. It just doesn't have that same emotional intensity and longevity as Feels or Sung tongs or even Strawberry Jam... and this breaks my hear to say it.
But I think it's true... I think we've seen AC's peak come and go.
Love these pix! are they all polaroids? where do you even get film now?
i'm not sure how you see a lack of congruency in what i'm saying. i'd say my opinion is more well-founded than the opinion everyone else spreads "great pix". it's just criticism. the same stuff bloggers use all the time. I don't see how one should need to "go away" because of such opinions. but whatever... i don't dislike the site, i just don't always like the pictures. sometimes i don't like the songs.... i think that's allowed.
hello...does anyone know what brand of hat avey is wearing? thanks.
how can you tell if ac has reached their peak when their music is always changing?
