halloween mixtape

This started as a festive little Halloween mix in which I compiled some seasonal sounds that I felt were eerie and haunting, but the end result turned out kind of bleak and nightmarish. Not exactly a party jam, but possibly an appropriate haunted house score. No tracklist, but first person that can name all the songs wins something TBD:

That image you chose...

I know GvB likes all those washed out 60's and 70's Kodachromes, but that looks a lot like one of the many images that was the legacy of Pol Pot. He was responsible for the deaths of up to 2.5 million innocent people.

Nothing to do with Halloween what so ever...

Most of them have been named. :( But! I also heard "Here Before" by Vashti Bunyan.

Great mix by the way, haunting indeed.

Love Grace.

Burial is hidden in there too I think, or someone that sounds a lot like him.

This is one of the best mixes I've heard in a long time - chilly fall awesomeness.

sonswantrevenge - I think you might mean 'Miarches' by Forest Swords? Kickass track.

Scottish Friction: are you trying to deter people from downloading the mixtape or what? Who wants to listen to Fergie and Justin Timberlake?

10:22: that image has absolutely nothing to do with Pol Pot or any other genocidal dictators. thanks for your concern.

haha! aww, i was only trying to be arch and subversive.

this is GVB, do you honestly think they post Fergie haha?!

@Jeannie and G-thing, people aren't going to be deterred by my silly tracklist ripped from Now That's What I Call Music 24 are they?

the photo is from St. Catherine's Monastery in Sinai. They keep all the skulls of the past monks in a small chapel/crypt called the Skull House in a giant pile. see, not dead cambodians. no genocide. just a scary pile of skulls.

also, i think there are only 2 songs/artists that haven't been mentioned. hint: one is from the 1920s, the other is from 2009.
