geneva hits

Mental Groove is releasing Sun Araw's extremely limited new Geneva Hits cassette, featuring live versions of "Heavy Deeds," "Horsesteppin," and a cover of Neil Young's "Barstool Blues," recorded @ l'Usine in Geneva over the summer. Listen to the tape here; only 50 copies worldwide though, so chances are it'll be gone before you get over there, or you may be able to score a copy at one of Sun Araw's upcoming shows for $5. [via no conclusion]

Sun Araw had this to say on his on site:

"A quick word about the price, which is absurd. Mental Groove are super good people, and they paid to have the SUN ARAW set professionally recorded, mixed, and mastered off the soundboard at our show in Geneva. The result sounds pretty dope (samples below). They wanted to use this recording to make a highly limited "collector's" item, and so they chose just to press 50, hence the cost to recoup their expenses. This wasn't my decision. But if you can get to a show, I will be selling any copies I have for $5."
