pure shores

Sincerely Yours just posted up this clip for the "KJJ edit" of Avner's "Bed för Mig," which is essentially a cover by JJ, I think, but you never know with these people. The only info they've offered up is "the eye goes blind when the mind asks why." Watch it in high-res here:

jj | no. 2

In related news, you can now get one of the year's best albums (JJ's No. 2) on white vinyl, complete with new bonus track "Pure Shores" (likely a cover of this) for 19€, which I'm guessing is a lot of American dollars. The group has also released an extremely limited 12" for From Africa to Málaga on Japanese label Every Conversation, featuring JJ's cover of "Baby" as well as new song "The Truth," that can be had here for ¥1,985 (also a lot of $).

that's $20-25 before shipping for a 4-song EP. with shipping it's like 33 bucks. either record will cost you over $30 shipped to the U.S.

Needs a north american release.

You can also buy the africa to malaga 12" directly from SincerelyYours:

Costs about $22 with shipping, but still much better (and cheaper) than ordering from Japan.

Read the instructions at the bottom of the page. Y'know, the one that shows up when you click 'order.'

that video is all stan brakhage, arguably the most important american avant-garde filmmaker. most of it is from a film called "commingled containers." and that quote "the eye goes blind when the mind asks why," is very very brakhage. are these people giving credit where credit is due?

You should get a confirmation from paypal in your email, but not from SincerelyYours themselves. It's how it's been every time I've ordered from them.

I did email and ask when they would ship--they said the 4th, due to the holidays.
