mp3: memory tapes remixes phoenix

Memory Tapes reworks one of the best/most ubiquitous songs of last year, and the results are predictably great. Word on the street is that this will appear on an upcoming purple vinyl single with another "1901" remix from Animal Collective. Download it from We're Tapes.

i dont know what's mixed about the song - there are no original components that have been altered except the vocal part. i guess over dubbing the vocal over any instrumental counts as a "remix"/"mix" these days... I love me some Memory Tapes but this is lazy for both the listener and creator.

If you like this, you had to have been trying really, really hard. It's completely unlistenable.

I thought he meant Phoenix's tween/Cadillac commercial demographic won't like this.

Jesus Christ this is terrible. So lazy. Just an old track not good enough for release with Thomas Mars' lyrics dubbed over it. Terrible.
