Here's another one from L.A.'s Teen Inc, whose "Friend of the Night" has been on repeat since we discovered it via Nite Jewel's myspace page earlier this week. The duo just hit us up with more uncanny '80s liteFM after dark vibes in the form of the considerably funkier (but still ridiculously smooth) A-side from their limited clear vinyl debut 7" single, which will probably be very sold out soon:

Teen Inc. :: Fountains

/Film reports that Spike Jonze and the Arcade Fire are currently in Austin collaborating on a new short film, reportedly about "friends growing apart." As The Playlist suggests, the project is almost certainly related (thematically or otherwise) to the band's new record, which is due later this year.

I guess GvsB won't allow non-positive comments, so I'm here to say this new song from Teen Inc is quite good, and not at all a pastiche.

Except that Francis and the Lights is all style no content; it won't make you feel anything at all. This, on the other hand, is meaningful stuff. Thank you Teen Inc.
