our scenery

Gauntlet Hair's debut I Was Thinking... 7" single is finally available for pre-order on our Forest Family Records imprint, featuring one of my very favorite songs of the year, and the equally great "Our Scenery" on the flip (let's call it a double A-side):

The I Was Thinking... 7" is limited to 500 copies on clear/white “cloudy” vinyl, with cover art featuring the duo's Lafayette, Colorado, compound (pictured). Pre-order here.

How come Slumberland charges $4 and $2 for shipping and ship in a nice cardboard record box and FF charges $8 and $3 for shipping and they dont ship in a cardboard record box? Why so much? just wondering...

these will definitely be shipped in cardboard boxes, we learned our lesson on the first release. we are pressing a much smaller quantity than a label like slumberland, which keeps the prices higher, unfortunately.

as we (hopefully) do larger runs in the future, the price per 7" will be less, obviously.

feel free to email us if you have any questions, it's easier and more personal than an anonymous comment.

any chance that the $8 shipping to canada will be reduced in the future (i've ordered both ffr releases)? i rarely even pay that much on lps.

still, i can't wait for ffr003.
